update for 11/10/05
A quick update
I have assembled the engine, transmission and exhausts. Just missing a spring on the one exhaust pipe. I'm glad to be moving back to the chassis now. I may cover the drive belt for the fuel injector pump with a guard. This was covered on some Porsche engines but I'm not sure about this one. Since this is a 'restored' vintage racer, I dont need to be 100% accurate. ![]() ![]() |

Re: 1/12 Porsche 910 progress thread
It will almost be a shame to mount that engine in the chassis. It is too beautiful to be covered up!

Re: 1/12 Porsche 910 progress thread
Thanks for the comments, everyone. I'm really enjoying this build.
The engine will not be covered up entirely (no point in doing this work if it were). It will be visible through the rear ala Porsche 917, and the rear engine cover will open. For those going to the ACME NNL this weekend, I'll have it there. |

Re: 1/12 Porsche 910 progress thread
I've been on this site for some time on and off and I'm sure have missed many stellar builds. (have a few WIP's my self on this forum) ..my CLK GTR street version will again be worked on this month! I tend not to comment because so much work I see is incredibly good that I just look and hope I can do the same at some point...
Outstanding work p9o1r1sche
