Thanks for posting this up here. I don't know how you guys come across these pics so quickly, you don't even give me a chance! Another example are the MVR 06R pic weblink. I somehow stumbled across those a couple months ago, but then while searching this forum I found that Peleton had posted it up a LONG time ago and Mini Magic posted up an article on the car (thanks for that article, didn't want to bring up a dead thread). |

Re: GTR #05R spotted at Circuit du Luc in France...
There is a thread on the supercarfrance forum dedicated to McLaren Pics. Its a goldmine. It has been mentioned numerous times on here and many "regulars" here have replied to it. So yes, most of the regular contributors here have probably seen them.

I try to remember to hit up that thread about once a week. Sometimes it sits idle for quite a while with no action, other times it could be considered "bustling with activity". I realize several of us post over there, but the one difficulty is that I believe you are required to register in order to see the forums, and the registration page is in French which might put a few people off.
I guess I was just surprised to see such incredible content get passed up by three of our "regulars". Sure some of us will see it over there, but there are even more who will benefit from it here. Anyway - it's kind of a non-issue. I just wanted to give you guys a hard time, not make anyone feel truly uncomfortable. >8^) ER |

Mozilla allows you to have more than one homepage since its tabbed. I have 6. Guess what one of them is?

Good for you.
![]() My clunky old browser allows for just one homepage, and no one here would ever guess what it is. (has nothing to do with cars) >8^) ER |

No, its not any of the usual suspects - MSN, AOL, Yahoo, Google, CNN, MSNBC, etc...
Lets not turn this great thread into an impossible guessing game though. ![]() >8^) ER |

Re: GTR #05R spotted at Circuit du Luc in France...
more info here if you can read french.
http://www.autotitre.com/forum/J-ai-...TR-66620p2.htm There's one(or maybe two) very lucky guy who had the chance to drive it. Apparently, he knows the owner very well. |

Thanks for the link.
I noticed one error in the text there - it says there were 32 GTRs, whereas the actual number is only 28. It says those figures were sourced from this website: http://www.automobile-sportive.com/guide/mclaren/f1.php The rest of their figures are accurate - 69 road cars, 6 LMs, 3 GTs (all those figures including their respective prototypes) but the figure they have for the GTR is wrong at 32. In fact, they even qualify that figure with this sidenote "(dont neuf queue longue)" which translates directly to "(including nine long tail)", when in fact there were really 10 longtails produced. Strange that they would get most parts so right, and one part so wrong. I did manage to find a unique variation of a shot of the Clinic Model there that I hadn't seen before linked from that page. Hopefully you will like it too. Click me... Hopefully they won't mind the minimal traffic this direct link creates - I'm feeling lazy at this hour. >8^) ER Last edited by Peloton25; 10-26-2005 at 04:09 AM. |

He said the car has not been driven since 7 years ! The engine developed 647hp at last McLaren check up !
Incredible ! The brakes are normal not in carbon. It is the last in France. Phil |

Re: GTR #05R spotted at Circuit du Luc in France...
A little info on this paint scheme.
The front right corner you see filip o who is a french artist who did the BBA cars with the roof tiles (Tuilies TBF), I'm not sure what he did with this paint job, but the artist who painted it is Cesar (signature on the rear engine cover) This is not the car that ran at Le Mans, or at least not this paint scheme. It is close, but not what the car looked like at either pre-qualifying or the race. I've seen this look before and it could be the car was re-done after the race. I have quite a few photo's from both qualifying and race to verify this. They are not my photo's, so I don't have permission to sharel. Here are some never before seen pics http://www.renaissance-models.com/Ga...en_gulf_96.htm http://www.renaissance-models.com/Ga...en_lark_97.htm |
