Holy Sh**, the Mac sitting in the middle of all those Astons...that IS heaven right there! My two favorite kinds of cars! Nice find.

What do you think is fair market value for it?

Well red isn't really my color, but I'd say that $1.2-1.3M is probably a very fair price for this car given that it's here in the USA already, has completed all it's paperwork, and has that nice California BAR sticker.

It looks to be in immaculate condition, and assuming that it's up to date on all of it's services it's probably a good car to buy. The color is also not common on the F1, which could make it more desirable to some people.

i drove by for a quick second today after class, it is indeed still sitting where the picture was taken. The enzo was in the detail bay and the carrera gt in the showroom across the street. Hopefully ill find some time to drop by and check it out in detail again.

Cool - lucky you!

If you can get them to open the door on the F1 for you, please try to get a photo of this sticker under the dash:

I think I might know what it says, but I've never seen an F1 with a sticker in that location before.

Thanks!

Per diablo roadster:

Quote:
well. its pretty

they are asking $1.9million. i questioned them if it was the market price for them and they said it was. (they are expecting it to sell by the end of the day. they already have a couple serious offers). the yellow enzo is sold aready at $1mil.

so you question why one would sell his mclaren and enzo (Which he liked better of the 2)... he is going to buy a veyron (which SVAG is going to be an official dealer of)

..pictures shortly

ps. i find it funny they had both those cars for under 24 hours and are basically gone. and have had a CGT for a couple weeks
WOW - $1.9M is a ton of money for a standard road car. :22yikes: The two F1s that went through Christies (#011 & #073) didn't even reach that amount.

Of course neither of those had made it through the red-tape here yet, which this car has. Also, some potential owners might actually prefer a relatively unmolested car in it's original form, and be willing to pay a premium for that.

Re: Meltzer's #028 for sale through Silicon Valley Auto Group

I doubt it sold in a day and I doubt it sold for anywhere near $1.9. They can slap any tag on it and tell an story they want but people in the market for these cars generally know what they are doing.

Dealers say anything. It only makes them look stupid to anyone who is slightly informed.

Car dealers = scum.

i do agree that it seemed quite high a road car. i was thinking in the $1.2mil range aswell. they were making a big point that it is the only CA street legal one for sale at the moment. apparently one is also for sale in japan, and they are asking $1.7mil (didnt ask the model). with the legalization (claimed $250k) it would make that one more expensive than this one.. so in theory you would still be getting a "deal".

Cliffs relationship with the dealer is quite good. he has purchased 12 of his 14 current cars from them. SVAG is going to be an authorized Bugatti dealer. Cliff test drove one (i assume in Monterey) and liked it, and will be getting one. why he sold these, no one was really sure of. he doesnt really need the extra space or money. perhaps he only had these because of their rarity. once the veyron comes out.. its something more rare than either of these.

as for these salesmen.. they are all pretty good guys from what i can tell. (5 years of going there. at one point 2 times a week. i know and talk to them all). the one that normally deals with cliff really loves this car. they bought it off of him for "slightly less" than they are selling it for. they could have over paid him some to make him happy so he will keep returning (which is highly possible) but i dont think they would seriously gouge customers. they are still a growing dealer and i dont think they would want it to be known they rip people off. its as clean an F1 that i have seen.

just a little information i picked up... the veyron will not be as rare as the f1, bugatti already plans to build more veyrons then there are f1's in existence, there are only what 61 or 62 living f1 road cars in existence now? bugatti plans to build over 100 veyrons, at 50 a year

Thanks for the pics Diablo Roadster! The more I see that car, the more I think red looks pretty good on the F1. I would probably take that one over a mag silver now.

I agree. This is my fav color on the F1 now until I see a maroon one and see what it looks like.
