Re: sleeper vs. bragger

I was very close to putting on 3.8 badges that Andy gave to me. Its funny to see the looks on peoples faces when you boost past them in what they think is a V6 F-body (although there are some bad ass V6 F-bodys around) I also took off the Formula badges on my car except the one in the back but if they are listening/looking back there, they already would have known anyway. Its funny as hell to see Vette's, RX8 and Stangs look puzzled when you tell them its a 3.8 with a exhaust

Re: sleeper vs. bragger

i would rather have no badges then anything, v6 badges on a LT1 would be lying but if someone assumes its a v6 its their problem

Re: sleeper vs. bragger

I'd be very proud of my LT1 if I got one. I don't know where half of you guys pick up the assumption that I wouldn't be proud of a V8. Hell, If I didn't like the 5.7 I'd buy a cheaper 3.8.

I'm thinkin more and more 5.7 isn't something I'd want on my window, but I would still mess with my friend in his stock '83 305. I'm probably leaning towards a debadging... so long as I can still put the badges back on afterward. Is that possible? and will the pain look funny under the Z28 badge if I take it off? If so I'll keep it on.

My whole reason for doing this is having everyone think I upgraded from my p.o.s. corolla to a V6, they will undoubtedly make fun of me because I upgraded and they're still faster. Then I'll own them and put my Z28 badges back on after everyone figures it out. If that's not possible I would keep the badges.

Re: sleeper vs. bragger

why would you want to get a crappy paint job? there are already millions of camaros out there with crappy paint jobs. (like mine)

anyone who knows anything about v8's will know you're not a v6 just by the sound... so really i think its just retarded to strip it... i wouldn't want someone to think i had a v6... sure i have RS emblems, but my RS did have a v8, now it just has a more powerful one... keep your emblems.

idk i'm really into the factory look, i like my car to look like an extremely clean factory car...

i kinda came into this one late i guess...
