Sorry to hear that man, I live about 20 miles N. of Da 'Burgh in a relatively safe suburb. A guy across the street from me had a really nice Suzuki off-road bike stolen. Apparently some drug dealer stole the bike, the Pittsburgh police found him/chased him down and recovered the bike. So, he did get it back, just a little banged up. Hopefully you'll get the car back all in one piece man.

What color was the car... some dude delivered a pizza to my work last night in a white Acura Integra... looked like an early 90's... doubtful it was the car though. #!$@'in thieves.

Re: Stolen Car

You get a really bad, sinking feeling when you know your car just got jacked... sorry to hear about that, I can relate..

Though you can't prevent a determined theif from taking your car, you can certainly make it hard as nails. Aside from having a Viper 791XV pager-alarm system (with 2 extra modules: interior motion detector and external prox sensor), I always put on the club, and am also going to have a kill switch installed. A regular theif should be like, "ok, screw this, let's try the next car." If its Nic Cage in Gone in 60 Seconds, I might have some trouble though....lol.

They probably would be. I'd be kind of happy if the camry got stolen but I'd be mostly sad. It's my first car and treats me well. I hope you get your car back.

Re: Stolen Car

So theres good news and bad news. Good news, yes we did have full coverage, and the fact that the car was only a few days old actually helped us out. We are supposed to get the price of the car plus 15% extra for premium(w/e that is). But my dad said next time I get a car, to make sure I put the alarm on it ASAP. Smart Man. Bad news, I had a bad experience with my first car. Just pushes me to go harder. Peace and thanks for the support.

Talking Anti-theft measure

Forget the alarm systems. They are designed to sound neat, and make the alarm companies money. Take a regular toggle switch, and interrupt the power wire for the fuel pump relay. Then, mark the switch," FOG LIGHTS", and mount it in plain sight. Thieves will go right under the dash looking for an alarm control box or kill switches. Most alarm boxes are easy to figure out, and can be bypassed. BUT, if there is no power to the fuel pump relay, then the thief will only get about 10 feet before the vehicle stalls, and I gaurantee you, it won't go any further without fuel. Alos, forget "The Club". One can of freon, and a hammer and I can bust it in two in 20 seconds. I do like the picture taking device, that is truly a handy device. Maybe hooking it up to a WI-FI transmitter to automatically Email it to your account would be a step better. If you want to defeat a high tech criminal, just pull the plug and his world is dead.

ok listen up... if you get another honda your gonna have to beef up the security on that bad boy... hondas get stolen like crazy, like i said earlier in this thread about my acura... any alarm system isn't going to stop the guy from taking it... it will slow him down to get the car. but lets be serious... if someone wants your car, THEY WILL TAKE IT. Its as simple as that.... all you can do is put obstacles in his way to slow him down or make him think twice about it.... i personally on one of my nicer cars i have a 3 kill switches. and an alarm with the stupid pager on it and pages you and lets you know whats going on.... a back up battery for the alarm.... i have lojack also.... you can do anything for a kill switch go to your shop that you go to, to get work done and tell them to hook it up so either you have to have the left turn signal on to turn the car... or window switch up to start it or hazzards, or parking lights on only... crap like that... and you can just tell them to hook 2 of them up so you have to have your high beams on and your turn signal on while holding the window switch to turn the car on.... lol crazy but its what we gotta do these days... lojack is great too... another thing is that boot that goes on your rim like the impound people have, but its like a miniture one... bottom line is if they want it they will take it... they will study and study your moves and shit like that so they can do it perfect... ... Good luck bro
