As I've stated, I like the F-Body more than the Mustang, but honestly, I'll concede that the 5.0 is more reliable than the 3rd/4th gen. F-Body by a fair margin. And what are you talking about, the 5.0 is "ugly" and "nobody wants them"? I hate to break it to you, but when it was around, it outsold the F-Bodies quite handily. Actually...it outsold them even when it got the puny 4.6L SOHC motor, making only 215 hp in its early stages. Which just goes to show that there is more to a car than how much horsepower it makes. The 5.0 Mustang was, and still is, a very popular car, and the Mustang enthusiasts outnumber both me and you by quite a bit, so I'd shut my mouth with the blatant stereotyping before you get a lynch mob after you.

Nice try you stupid fuck, but Ive seen more than a few 5.0 mustangs with over 250,000 miles (that's right two-hundred-fifty-thousand) on them and they drive them daily without any problems what so ever, and they still pull 13's easily at the track while only being very mildly modified. So i wouldn't mention reliability if i were you.

There were some pretty cool Grand Ams in the early 70s, large two-door models that looked cool IMO.

The LS1 is an awesome engine, one that was underrated from the factory, and responds as well as anything to mods. Stock LS1 F-bodies are also consistent low 13 second cars.

I don't know why the LS1 was even brought into this conversation to begin with, and the blatant anti ford comments are just retarded. What was the about a stock trans am running circles around the last cobra? Come on the LS1 is an awesome engine but that statement just isn't true. The 5.0 mustang is proven to be a reliable performer, sure some may prefer a camaro, but in the selected years the ford is faster and has a better aftermarket.
