Well I told you man.. my computer doesnt let me, hell if you want you can go to a new 2005 Mustang GT and say "HEY MAN! DO A BURNOUT!" Sorry but new Mustang's computers doesnt let em do a burnout. Unless some mods are made, so for some reason my Monte is like that too.

racing in OD doesn't make any difference... the tranny won't switch into overdrive until top gear and if the pedal is at less than 1/2 throttle (3/4 in some) but starting out there is no difference at all, tranny doesn't switch into overdrive in 1st or 2nd (or 3rd on 4 speed autos). like i said OD doesn't kick in until top gear, and if you are in top gear and you push the pedal past 1/2 throttle (or 3/4 in some cars) the tranny will switch out of overdrive... so to sum it up the difference between racing in D and OD is none

well even with traction control you can spin... in my mom's gtp even with traction control on i could burn through half of first gear. and i've seen plenty of '05 stangs do burnouts, not tryin to call you out or anything but traction control can't completely stop you from spinning, it will stop spinning at low throttle but the higher throttle it doesn't completely stop it...

now if you were talking about powerbraking in a new stang then you are right, with the brakes on it stops then engine from reving over 3500 rpms (or around there) so that it doesn't brake the tires free... but those things can spin like crazy if you just punch it from a stop... and the 5-speed cars can really light 'em up, even with the brake on the computer doesn't limit the engine rpm on 5-speed cars..

Yeah im talking about power braking man, I mean that is what we're talking about here

For my monte it lets me rev to 4K or something around there, and I cant even go past that unless the car is moving around 10 MPH or so, so not even if you're in neutral will you be able to do it, unless you're above a certain MPH.

Re: Quik Raceing Question

I wish my trans was ok so I could mess around and figure out the right RPMs.
