The higher the number of the offset, the further inside the rim is. So a 37 offset would be sticking more outside then a 45 offset (I'm having a hard time explaining this in english ).

BTW: a civic should have an ET between 40 and 45. 38 will also work if you don't go to low.

Ok, so a 37 offset is not recommended? I dont think this rim comes in any other offset, but this Civic I found on sounddomain has got them (sweeet ) (sorry for posting pics to all off you with modems..)

I'll have to check it out..will handling be shit with ET37 and 35mm lowering?

My car is the same color as well

I've sent him a mail, but it doesn't look as though he updates his SD page to often...so I don't know..He has a b16a engine in it though!
Should fit...but don't want handling to suffer or rubbing to occur...

This is what i found on a MX-5 board about those rims. I would think it over again, they seem to be soft and have a complete wrong ET for your car. They will rub, unless you can find them in ET42 or at least ET40.

Mille Miglia Evo 16x7 Wheels
[7/6/2000] Reviewed by Armand Aquino - [email protected]
Applicable to '90 - '97 '99 + 1.6 liter 1.8 liter

These are aftermarket 16x7 wheels with 37 mm offset.

With 215/40-16 tires and inflated at 30 psi, I thought the car rode pretty well. The tires did not rub on anything and, visibly, you can still accommodate 225 series tires on the REARS (not in the front).

Inflated at 30 psi, I encountered a pothole and managed to bend 3 wheels. I was VERY disappointed since the wheels were just 2 weeks old. After taking the rims to Rim and Wheel in Boston to get rebent, I was horrified to find out that Mille Miglia's, TSW, Borbet among others were easily bent (soft wheels). So just as a precaution, if you intend to purchase 16 inch wheels, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PUMPING UP THE TIRES TO 35 psi. I've had no visible abnormal tire wear at about 1000 miles. The ride isn't as bad as I thought also. But after this experience, I DEFINITELY would NOT advise going into 17 inch wheels... Do yourself and others a favor - when you purchase something, please fill out a review so that your fellow Miata owners won't have to go through the same pains (as I did).

Over 30 minutes to remove completely

They look good on the Civic.

Like I said before, you can get away with a 37 or 38 (like mine) offset, as long as you don't go to low. And if you really want those rims, you can have the ET changed, but I've got no idea how much that costs. If you want to go from a 37 to a 40 (for example) they take a few mm off the inside of the rim so that the rims comes to sit further in. I don't know if you can do this whith all rims, but it's an option.

I dont want anything to compromise handling or comfort so I don't think I will go with those rims. My search continues, and I've know got my eyes on some OZ Chrono wheels.. It's really helpful that you guys tell me things about the offset and stuff 'cause the dealer isn't very helpful with that...luckily you guys are! I'll let you know how things go, but I've just lost my job to, so...dammit!

LOL, that was quick

These were the steps I followed

Quote:
1. tape and newspaper the side of the car.
2.was the moldings with dish soap to get rid of oils.
3. dry and wipe moldings off with alcohol
4. sand with 800 then 1200 grit sand paper.
5. wipe off and clean with more alcohol let dry.
6. srayed Bulldog adhesive promotor to make paint stick.
( you can get it at Pepboys works better then primer cause primer make paint fade.)
7. two light coats of Bulldog then let dry fo 15 min.
8. then I used Krylon high gloss Banner red(color of my car Roma Red) and spayed 5 light coats of that in about a hour time span drys in 12 minutes.
9. then spayed 3 light coats a Krylon high gloss cherry red to
have perfect match.
10. Then used Krylon high gloss clear coat and sprayed about 4 light coats
But I used Motip paint (easier to find in Europe) and sprayed 8 to 10 layers for paint and another 8-10 for clear coat . It's very important that you take your time for it and always spray very thin layers of paint. The only layer you'll have to make tick is the last layer of clear coat. If you spray this layer on really thick, you'll get a nice and shiny result (but becarefull it doesn't start to drip)

Here's a pic of the door handle

As long as you don't look to close to it, it will look good, but as you come closer you can clearely see it isn't painted by a pro. But this is only when you look at it from really really close.

Hi again Guys!

Thanx for the post Goosse, it seem as though it's impossible to get a perfect color match for my car...

I've recieved prices on OZ Chrono rims with tires. Noone seems to carry 205/40 tires though. Would you guys recommend 195/45 tires or 205/45 tires? I will go for 16", not compromising comfort, speed and handling..

You can have paint made so it fit's your stock color. You should go with your color code to a shop (I went to a normal auto shop) and they made the color for me. I think they can almost make every color.

BTW: on 16" rims you should put 205/45 tyres.
