I have no idea what your problem is, but me or anyone on here could have told you to spend money and just start replacing shit and collect the labor charge. What is his reason for thinking it was the ecu? What else did he look at? Question you should have asked. That is how people get screwed over by shops, because they just assume they won't get taken advantage of.

Hes been my familys mechanic since i was like 2 and he knows what hes doing believe me if he says its an ecu its an ecu so idk why im fuckign here asking you

Then replace the fucking ecu and hope it works. If not, don't come crying.

He's right about the ecu knowledge. I took mine to one shop who tried to screw me that way. "Oh it must be the ecu." They even wanted to charge $80 to put it in! I said screw em and went to another shop who found out it was the cam sensor. (A LOT cheaper..) But then again it could have caused perhaps an energy spike which can damage various electrical equipment.
