dude that's just plain wrong....... but it's glad 2 know that things are ok...i'd hate to be in either Moondog's or Spec 2 Girl's shoes....hospital custard.....:apuke: ... .... . . ..i know what it's like to be on the worrying side sucks alot...i hope that Spec2 Girl doesn't catch a cold from too much stress....she might get so sick(God forbid) that she'd have to sell me her Skyline......lol j/k

hehe I is fine (so's Moon). He's back at home now and all is good.

As for selling my Skyline.......not a chance in hell!!!

Hey thanks all. Yeah, it wasn't the best way to spend a weekend. Wake up in pain. Ignore it, like any self-respecting doctor does

Absolutely refusing to admit at this point that it's going to turn out to be appendicitis - if I ignore it hard enough, it'll go away

Get a phone call from work: I'm supposed to be on call. Well sod that. Call in sick. End up ringing the roster woman a few hours after that and telling her I won't be able to do my next oncall either, cos I'm in hospital about to get a big cut in me stomach. At least she knew I wasn't kidding when I rang the first time

Apparently the appendix was fairly mucky, and probably would have burst if it had been much longer (which means the 10 hours between getting to hospital and getting into theatre weren't the best spent they could have been), but apart from having been stabbed in my side, I'm much better now. Standing up and walking around can be a bit of a prick, but as long as I stay quiet (and don't laugh too much) I is ok.
