Are you still using your stock Si wiring harness? I've done the same swap:silly2:, but I bought the VAFC to control the Vtec and Air Fuel curve.
Now I am working on getting the conversion harness so I can run the P28, but I think you can still us the Si Distributor.
Does anyone have any input on this?:jump:

I didn't read the ZC vs. D16Y8 tread before I wrote this. So I retract my Q about the distributor.

...yeah, OBD0 dizzy's and OBD1 ecu's dont jive.... it'll be nice, then you wont have a rigged up distributor on there anymore and you'll be able to set your timeing (assuming you've got a z6)

JDM or USDM?

What car does the D16Y8 come from? Is it a JDM engine?

Since everyones talkin' smack about the ZC on the hybrid board, I'm considdering this swap. But I wanna know if I can use the Greddy 92-95 Civic turbo kit on the D16Y8 (as well as my current headers)...

the d16y8 and d16z6 are both sohc v-tec. the d16z6 is in the (USDM) 92-95 Si/EX Civic. the d16y8 is in the (USDM) Del SoL and 96-00 Civic Ex.

i don't see why you couldn't use the Greddy kit. and my header, intake, and cam gear from my d16a6 (4th gen Si) all fit.

the sohc v-tec and the sohc non v-tec are both d series engines. they are basically the same with small changes. most parts from one will bolt on another
