i dont want to come in here and just start flaming relentlessly on everyone, but theres some things that need to be know...because i used to have this misconception about 'h22's.' first off dont just say h22's are only good for a straight line car. what about my prelude? what about the type-s prelude? those cars have h22's and they are some of the best handling cars on the road. if you mean a civic with a swapped h22, then say a civic with a swapped h22 is only good for a straight line car... second, civics with h22's CAN be made to handle just like they would stock or even better with the right amount of work/money. in fact, i have heard from many people on here that with simply stock springs from an integra, a civic will deal with the extra weight fine (it is only like an extra 150 lbs, were not talking 400 or 500 lbs here). and if youre spending the money to do this conversion (to the h22), why not do it right and upgrade your suspension also? now back to the heart of this thread...this guy is talking about putting an h22 in his integra already, which i have the understanding that the teg is better built to handle this kind of weight already... as for the gsr v. h22 prelude arguement...im sticking to my guns. my stock lude will take gsr's. now a gsr v. swapped h22 civic/teg...no question the civic/teg is gonna win all day long (that is, if the driver is decent and the swap is done right). youre talking about a car with a 170hp engine running against a car with the same, or VERY similar weight, and a 195 hp engine (USDM h22a4). now wheres the logic?

well, they must have had vtec stickers on their car and no vtec under the hood or sometihng, because my 3rd gen RS with I/H/E wasted a 2nd gen GS with I/E. not even close. are you sure his isnt a 92 GS... R! because then hed be able to BARELY beat newer GSR's. and as far as the swap dont you have to get a shifter and cables out of a lude or accord and drill holes in the firewall and mount it all in the teg. doesnt sound too hard, but just to make sure you knew. and isnt the H22 only like 70 or so pounds heavier than the B18?

motor (w/ everything): avg. 2,000 custom mounts: 500 custom axels: 900 lowering springs (needs to be dropped at least 2" to help compensate for the extra weight in the front): 100+ (for a decent set and dont all of a sudden start talking about eBay this and that.) brake upgrade (help stop that extra hundred or so pounds): varies cooling system: varies then i went up to a shop Kartec and they told me that if i bring everything, they would put it in for 1,000. now, dont get me wrong, it would most likely be well worth it, but make sure you have the dedication towards it. also, place racing (or something like that) is the only company i've seen where you can use their custom mounts and still retain A/C, but to my knowledge, whether you go w/ place racing or HP, you will have to remove powersteering.
