the problems that i have is that, 1 if i buy the car im gonna wanna take it to school with me (the school is in canada 510 miles or so each way)

i have just over 3k in th bank but once i goto school i need to make sure i have enough money to pay insurance, phone bill, and the first payments of school loan, once i get out of school i will be job less and the bills will still be there, so i need to make sure i can handle like 3 months (atleast of bills) with what is left in my bank, and paying almost 2k for the car and then 500 on top to fix a problem will make it really tight + dont forget insurance and registeration. and tax and anything else that i am forgetting.

ya know life sucks, all i wanna do is drive / own a camaro that works, and it seems like everything is fighting me every step of the way.

Talking to the guy it sounded like its a daily driver. it has 105k on it, thats 12k less than mine. so i am guessing its not in to bad of shape

i just crunched some numbers, and if i buy that car i will only have 100 bucks left for gas an what not, but if i can find insurance for less then 250/month then that would be more money for me, but in the end its pretty much just gonna leave me with 100 bucks, i will have to close my bank account

man, i could just cry, i been busting my ass for over a year and i have just over 3k to show for it.

i make very little right now, i will be in school and job less but i will still need to pay for insurance (250 a month) 4 months is a 1000, 56 a month for cell phone bill x 4 months is alot, and when i register the car i will have to pay tax on it so 6% of what i paid for the car = i cant afford it + say 500 to get the head gaskets fixed = deeper into the red.

But your not sure it needs head gaskets. No one is now. It is a 91 so I am sure it has some lil things wrong but dont go in this thinking nothing but the worst.

yea, but what else can cause the brown smoke from the tail pipe? my luck i will get there and it will have a cracked block

The guy said it used alil oil. From what I remember for auto shop if it blow white smoke that is the worst. Mean water is getting in to the piston chamber. That would be a spendy fix. If it uses alil oil or smokes when it first starts but stops smoking after a min might just be gaskets but does not mean it has to be fixed the second you get the car. I think in the long run if you can make it work you will like the red camaro better than the other one you showed me.

i deff would, the white one is just a base model, no ground effects, no rally rims, nothing but t-tops, but i figure if i get them down to 600 for the car, i got one of those 400 dollar engines that john was talking about (one that comes with warranty and like maybe 70 - 80k on the clock) get john to help put the new engine it for like 200 that is 1200 bucks for a camaro that has 70-80k + a warranty on the engine, granted the tranny could be shot but its an auto iyts not like some idiot was learning how to drive stick in it and grinding all the gears, and this would save me about 600 bucks, you can always add ground effects, get a paint job, get better rims later, but if you spend all your money on the car and have no money left for anything (like gas for example) then id end up having a paper weight becasue i cant put gas in it.

i dont wanna piss on this car, it could very well be a great car with just seal problem, but my point is i will eventually have to get it fixed. and if i dont have the money what am i gonna do when i need to get it registered / inspected? i dont have a driveway or a garage to put in so i can do the shit myself, so even the most basic shit will cost me money, i mean shops will cost an arm and a leg and i cant be running up north to john everytime my car needs a lil bit of engine work. (eventually he will get mad)

ok dont forget that your going to want tunes. I know that music does not make the car go but the red one has a 300 dollar deck in it. Just go look at both the cars and see what one you like the most.
