Re: Eighties Contest Entry: TWR Jaguar "The Beast" XJ-S H.E.

Just a small update. There was a marriage celebrated last week in my house. The Jag is coming along, chassis and body and engine merged together. I´m almost finished. Just need to rework the rear lights, the fuel filler caps and the antenna on the hood, give it final rub and then I´m finished.

I had minor problems with the hood fasteners. I decided to do a n open front bonnet display. Logically, the fasteners can not be fastened, need to think about that for another moment. Now some pics:

Please - as usual - feel free to comment on anything that comes to your mind. I hope it will be spring soon here in Germany so that I can produce decent outdoor pics to give justice to that nice racing green!

Robert

Looking excellent, I just love XJS's (would take one over an XK8 anyday)!
But I think a wash on the engine would make a lot of the details come out much better.

I think this looks just great and the work you have put in has paid off big time :

Producing work that you know has pushed your limits further is just as great an achievement as the nth superdetailed model from someone more experienced (or at least, that's what I will tell myself )

Here's a video of the car in action at Bathurst in '85.
