i understand what you are saying. when u get a non MX skyline or a non compliant grey market car you know the risk involved. I had my evo 7 since 02 ,we all do know the risk.and we know the government wont do anything. and if they do, they are not going to spend the $ on coming to get it and crush it.they give you up to 180 days to get ride of it your self. that crushing of cars were for cars that it would had cost more to export it then the value of the car. Instead of congratulating the kid, he had to shoot him down.thats what pisses me off,nismo power is like almost praying for something bad to happen to 89gtr so he can get his jollies.
and when you do the assemble from parts catigory,i help 5 people with this so far, it get titled for what it is and with its vin # stamped on the firewall. well that’s how the states i did it in is done.i cant say for the mid to west cost states. I know UT,AZ and NV re-vins the car but its still names what it is and not a 240.and it doesn’t say kit car on them. like i said im going by the states ive done it in and those states are NY,NJ,Fl,KY

im hoping his car gets taken away, because plain and simple.....you bring the car in illegally, you dont deserve the right to own one. when you own a skyline, legally or not, you represent all of us. its not only embarassing yourself because like you said to me cant afford one the right way, its giving us all a bad name.

dude, you dont seem to get it through your head that im not jealous. i know how much i paid, and i paid that price for a LEGAL skyline. if i wanted an illegal car it would be very easy for me to get. i lie 3 hours from the canadian boarder. its not that hard for me to go buy one for 12 grand, and just drive it on home with canadian plates. im not giving the line ownes a bad name, because i paid for mine fair and square. like i said earlier, i dont condone illegal impotation of cars. thats the whole reason this whole article has shown this. and where are his picturs? this thread has hit 2 pages, and we still havent heard back from the guy yet about the pictures. i dont need to give congratulations to a kid that does get things the right way.
