Re: Upcoming suspsension decision...

^^^ Thats just part of it....I want it lowered too, 17s wouldnt look too good at stock height. AND the stock suspension with 240k miles...... no thanks. It pops cracks and drives like a boat by now. So as of now, it stands... Tanabe SS, I'm thinking the type II.

Re: Upcoming suspsension decision...

Swaybars are supposed to support the suspension in the bodyroll thing, sway bars aren't supposed to do the whole job. Also, underroath, why the hell are you so sure you dont want megans or anything similar to them?

Re: Upcoming suspsension decision...

Did he ever stated that spring do not help the swaybars do its job?
And rollbars don't decrease bodyroll. They make sure your little head (or a big one) is not crushed by metal when you flip your car.

Re: Upcoming suspsension decision...

Megan doesnt have that great of a reputation from what I hear. Ive read some reviews that dont seem all that impressive.

But by the way your talking, you must like them, plan on getting them, or already have them....simply, I just dont want them. And calm down just a little bit. Please.

Ok, now, I'm getting wheels, too. I was going to get Rota D2s, or 5Zigen FN01R-Cs. Im sure the Rotas clear the coilovers with a +20 offset at 8.5", but Im not sure about the 5Zigens. Would they fit at 17x8" +35, that sounds so weak. Anyone have any pics of the 5zigens at +35, or +20? How hard would it be to fit a 17x9 +20 all the way around on an s13?

EDIT: I might just get the SPL KTS coilovers anyways, lots of people love them, they are really nice, good quality, and have camber plates on em. Now for the wheels.....

Hoocha! I just bought some 5Zigen FN10R-Cs 17x8 with the weak ass offset, but, whatever...they are tons better than my stockie teardrops. And in about...a day or two, I'm going to bust and buy some Silkroads. So, I'll try to post pics and shit like that when I can.

SPL has Mountians of the 17x9 +20 5Zigens which look pretty good.

KTS SC-Betas > *

17x9 +20

Not my car but its close enough minus some of the kouki goodies and good paint

I think the plan with Enjuku was to build some cheapass drift cars and it shows. I dont think they've qualified for top 16 ever and didnt even make it into the mainday preformace in Houston. The Cars are setup kinda oddly compared to all the other cookie cutter cars out there so yuo cant really pin it on any part though

Their two drivers are pretty nice guys though.

Re: Upcoming suspsension decision...

heres a sugestion if you wanna reduce body roll, increase traction limits, improve handling the best use of your money dollar for dollar is sway bars. if you wanna reduce center of gravity and still have a comfortable ride on the street add lowering springs or just go w/a well produced coil over sleeve kit and then add replacement coilover springs. thats what i did for my s-14. i added Swift stabalizer bars bought some generic e-bay coil-over sleeves threw away the springs and added swift springs. I have a unussually comfortable daily driving and the performance is amazing. I am able to come on the inside on the touge when going against my buddies w/$2000 + coil over kits. i only spent around $650 for the whole set up.I bought mine through BRS auto-design but i hear that the guys @drift factory know alot more on the tech end and might be able to get better prices
