Re: Replacing My Front Bowtie.

well lets see here, its plastic, if you own a gm, you know 95% of your vehical is plastic, including your intake and intake manifold gasket... what im getting at is there is a METAL bolt behind this plastic, prying on a plastic peice with a metal flat head, yep he sure is replacing somethign, and if he rips that bolt out of place, and it gets a good sized hole there, the new bolt wont take place, and then there you go replacing the whole grille, or it may never sit right... so please, i realize that your a friend and trying to help, but, if your going to do somethign half assed why bother to do it at all???

Re: Replacing My Front Bowtie.

You guys need to lighten up on cobradude. I've seen everyone of you (myself included) post incorrect information before. None of us would want to be crucified for making a mistake. It was an honest mistake, the majority of emblems that I've seen from all makes and models have either been glued on or snap in place.

Bro, it is not the fact as to who he is or incorrect info, it is the fact that he is giving advice about a vehicle he has NO experience with. You don't see me going to Corvette owner and telling them what to do seeing I own a GM vehicle.

It is like me going to the Mustang forum and telling some guy how to replace a sensor when I have never fixed or touched a mustang engine.

If you don't know, don't post and screw some innocent guy over who thinks that you know what you are talking about.

But you didn't say that, you told him to grab a screw driver and pry it off even when you didn't know how it was put together.

Stick to what you know about and avoid posting if you don't have a clue.

Thread's dead, you have done enough damage.
