104.4 cents per liter here in London. Gas will be 120.5 by winter.

^^^Right, but couldn't dominating market share be just as or even more profitable for the greedy? It is in any other industry.

There might not be enough of a supply of cheap oil for one company to become the "WalMart" of oil companies. With OPEC, they fix the price at a certain level. You don't have that with the textile markets of Asia, where they use kids to make clothing on the cheap (another thread, sorry, but useful for illustration), allowing WalMart to buy those shirts for $1.

Of course, there's always the chance that the oil companies are all in collusion with each other, and are guilty of price fixing.

That would be awesome if everyone would ride bikes. Gas prices would sure fall. I would ride mine, but I am unemployed with nowhere to go!!

it went up a lot. Before i went to china (2 weeks ago) it was at $2.41, now? it is at $2.75 wtf?

i catch the bus like 25 miles to work...$16 a week...trying to start a van pool with people in the building...but if we don't...then i'll still ride the bus

cheapest gas here is $2.32
