I am inclined to personally agree, being that our current fearless leader has a vested interest...but I don;t really want to drag politics into this fun place. Two places where you never discuss politics - amongst your coworkers, and amongst your friends.

The bitch of it is, that this makes selling 4x4's very difficult. My son parked his 91 Explorer and bought a small car. Even though he has it at well below it's market value he can't get anyone to even come look at it after two months. I see a lot of various SUV's , 4x4's for sale, but not selling worth a crap. May have to wait for winter.

Re: Today's Gasoline Price???

See, hybrid cars suck, and you know why? They're all ugly. I think they purposely make them so ugly so we don't bother to buy them.

Also, if gas prices are so incredibly high, what we need to do is start issuing limits on how much gas we consume or have coordinated days where we can put on gas and can't...

But oh well, i'll still keep driving my blazer till it dies and then I'll get a chevy impala

Re: Today's Gasoline Price???

There is a local used car dealership that has the entire front three rows that face the highway just *filled* with 4x4 Blazers. I got curious and took a look...they are giving them all, first, second and last generations before the Trailblazer *deeeeeeep* discounts. THey can't shift a single one. I asked why and the immediate response was, "Nobody wants a truck when gas prices soar." I think our problem is we still haven't seen just how far they will fly before coming anywhere near Earth again. And to our pals up in the Great White North - I feel for you guys. But not too much - y'all got easy access to Esso XD.

Re: Today's Gasoline Price???

You will get a kick out of this one..... My co-workers and I were talking about the gas prices today and I finally got feed up with it, I went out and bought me an '04 Honda CBR600RR. I couldn't stand the amount of money I kept spending trying to keep gas in my Blazer. I have ran out of gas 3 times in the last month. Here the price is $2.53 a gallon. The CBR gets nice gas mileage. It only costs me $89 a month for 36 months for a grand total of just over $10,800. They even threw in a helmet and kick ass Honda jacket. I now have a ride at least for the rest of the summer. Come winter time the Blazer will be back in action as my daily driver.
