Wasn't very smart on your part to speed up. I learned very quickly that people just grip the wheel, slam it into reverse, and back up just hoping for the best.

People are so stupid when it comes to driving. Its amazing how many times you could get hit in just 5 minutes driving because people dont pay attention.

Good luck with the court case though.

sorry, i feel bad for you, first ppl forget your birthday, then some ditsy ass bitch trashes your ride and has an attitude about it... lol, around the second time the cop told me he was a crash reconstructionists, lol... he prob wouldnt have gotten it all out and i would have slugged him... 'im a crash reconstr*pow*' just lay his ass out. then call the cops again and when they arrive on sceen just be like oh that cop over there? he fell down...

This will be very interesting to see how it turns out. Oh and fight your ticket in court, and say you sped up to avoid an accident. And tell them that if you had not sped up, there would have been much more damage.

There is the problem that when a person is backing up the people that are driving are supposed to let that person out because they can see much better. BUT she also as you said hauled out of that spot, soooo who knows.

I'm all for beating her ass.

The thing is she hit the BACK END of my truck, not the front. Even if I would've stopped when I saw her backing up, she would've hit me. It just would've been in the middle of my truck.

This happened to me once. Luckily I nailed the gas and swerved out of the way in time to avoid being hit, and them my friend who saw it all from the sidewalk went and yelled at the lady for me.

Lol, so technically if she backed over a 3 year old...it's not her fault...the 3 year old was in the way, cause she was "backing up"..

This is the problem with this world, NO MOTHERF*CKING BODY says..."sorry, my fault.." No one want to ACCEPT what they did.. Makes me mad..

Sorry Nicole, i know ALL too well about sh*tty drivers that think they are not to blame.. Example, july '2004 an old fart blew a red light at 30mph and hit my tbird head on.. The cops at the scene knew she did also, she kept on saying "it's not my fault..my light was green.."..

The best part, she was in a turn lane ONLY that could only have a GREEN ARROW or RED ARROW.. The cop said so basically if it was green, you drove through a turn lane light only....oh she shut up alright..

As far as "right of way"..i do believe she is COMPLETELY at fault.. It's the same as the highway, the cars merging on DON'T have the right, the cars driving do.. Imagine merging onto a highway and side swiping a car doing 60mph.....then telling the cop, "i was getting on the highway...THEY SHOULD STOP"...

I didn't want to make a thread of this and not trying to hijack, but the other day at McDonalds drive through. I was waiting in my truck, and i was rolling forward very very slowly, and I bumped the lady in a van, just being a smart ass that I am I say" What did you do" she just gets all pissed off and drives away. HAHA It was GREAT...My friend that was with me laughed his ass off. BTW her plastic bumper cover was just dented in one spot...haha.
