update 7/31/05
Here's a quick update.
I machined off the huge flange on the back of the rims and made it a bit more realistic. ![]() Got the doors on and put on the front body work. ![]()

Re: Just another friggin' Enzo
Thanks for the nice comments, guys. I've spent a lot of time on this model and I'm ready to be done with it, so I'm tired of looking at Enzos for the moment. I will finish this one, though!

Re: Just another friggin' Enzo
The CF decals are SMS aftermarket decals. The rear dampers are the kit dampers. I used Tamiya Italian Red spray cans on the body. There are a number of SMS photoetch items on it, but I didnt use anywhere near all of them.

Re: Just another friggin' Enzo
I know what you mean about getting sick of a model when it's burning a hole in your desk waiting to be finished. However, I for one am not sick of your Enzo, since it's so well done!

Aug 5 update
Latest update on this factory stock build. Engine cover needs to be finished and a few other details left (mirrors, badges).
On the first Enzo I built I couldnt figure out why the engine cover didnt fit down snugly, but I found that the plastic edges of the small vents in the engine cover were contacting the inner fenders. A little grinding on the engine cover fixed that problem. ![]()

What clear do you use over your CF?
Typically, I brush three coats of Future over it, letting it dry at least one day between coats. |
