High School Cliques

A bunch of outcasts formed together for our group. It grew and shrunk as people gained and lost popularity. A few stoners now and then, some rednecks, couple nerds, and even some jocks.

God cliques in highschool were so funny at my school. I lived in upstate NY and the school I went to was ranked like 130 in the country but we also had one of the widest economic gaps in the entire state. We had kids whose parent's made 10g's a year all the way up to 10million a year(kid's who think they're cool because their parents have money should be shot). I was one of those kids who unless you were really on a hunt to find me you couldn't find me. Never really hung out with anyone at school except for a select few who were in my classes and didn't hang out with anyone who I knew at school outside of school(unless I was at a party where those people showed up.) Except the wannabe motor heads who I would work on their cars for them. Kid's hated me because I wouldn't do a damn thing in class(i.e homework projects) but when it came to test day I would fuck up the curve for them hardcore. I always had the best pot in town but no one could ever afford it so always had people constantly asking me to smoke them up. For me, highschool was a big joke/complete waste of time(well when is it not?) Shoulda dropped out and got my GED woulda saved me about 3 years of information and concepts that I had allready figured out. Peace-


P.S.-Anybody ever see "Donnie Darko" where a kid is doing bumps from behind his locker door? Well at my highschool that was what was actually going on! Kid's would be like "yo you wanna go do a couple lines?" while on lunch(we had off-campus lunch) then go back to class! I say fucking losers. But, when asked the administratioin denied that the student body had any kind of drug problem(regardless of the fact, when they brought dog's in the found 7 8-balls in a kid's locker). Anybody that says "rich" kids don't do drugs has never been to the suburbs.

That will all change, trust me. The asshole jock finds out there's a life after high school and becomes a fucking loser with a bad job. The hot ass girl gains about 40 pounds and will probably get knocked up. Mr. Bad Ass who thinks he's the toughest dude alive will get his ass kicked by the wrong person he decided to fuck with.

The unpopular nerd kid usually goes off to do something and has a happy life. The quiet, unpopular, and hardly dated girl will get drop dead gorgeous. I know what you're thinking, but I've seen it happen many, many, many times.

In the end, high school is a bit like the movies, things have a way of coming around and working out, even if you don't see it right away.

Damn straight! I'm my town previous graduated had done a study where something like 3 out 5 people ended up never leaving the area(and in that town there is nothing to offer unless you're a doctor/lawyer/something that can be done anywhere.) Highschool is like your indroduction to karma. If you're some stuck up asshole then you are screwed for life. But if you're chill and don't bother people you will go on to do great things. Peace-

My friends and I started out as sort of a rejects club back in 3rd form, there were quite a few who'd try shit-stir us or what have you.


But after 6th form we grew in numbers, started getting a fair bit of respect and came pretty close to the more preppier side IMHO, by 7th Form we were just as well respected as anyone else, we had a mixture of Jocks, Preps, the stereotype Outgoing cool kids, a good few of the brighter lot etc.

6th and 7th Form was awesome.

its wierd i love cars and the whole racing scene well more of the drifting scene but in school i have never gotten along w/ any of the kids who are street racers or what have you. oh well im pretty much the only one of my friends who is big into cars

Not really. I have my friends that I've been friends with forever. They're preppy, I guess. I'm really quiet though, and I'm smart, so I guess I am a nerd. Everyone I know calls me a closet dork.

I'm still in highschool, so I'm really just my own person. I dont hang out with with anyone specifically, just whoever's there to talk to, doesnt matter who they are, from jocks to nerds. Except goth and emo's....I loath them

In school I am friends with most people, I hang out mostly with russian/ukrainian people, not the retarded kind though. I am not really close with anybody, there is something bad about all my close friends so I don't get too close. Back in ukraine I had 2 really good friends the ones I could trust, they changed though once I left. Now I am more of loner, just do what I want to do, not trying to fit in with others, and not trying to change myself.
Goth- never talk to me so I don't know any of them.
Nerds-dislike me too, as I am always talking and never do work, funny how I still get grades almost as good as theirs without studying.
Preps-I dislike them, rich kids who think everything is easy (sluts too).
Jocks-alright, more on the dislike side though.
Drama people-alright.
Weird people-weird.
Motorheads- think they are the shit and know everything, don't like the too much. And they always say american muscle is the shit and imports suck.
People into music-too much into music, no fun.

I was rather popular in retrospect. Friends with people of all races, friends with jocks, stoners, slackers, gangmembers, etc. There were an immediate crew of about 10-15 of us who have always hung out since 10th grade. The bizarre thing that most of our clique still all hang out and keep in touch on a regular basis. All of our parents and their significant others all find it strange but think its really cool that we are all still great friends.

I got along very well with all of the groups...granted that's probably because my school was soooooo small (under 400 in the whole school). I mostly hung out with the rednecks/cowboys. They were the only ones into cars/trucks and that was my main interest so naturally I just drifted over there. But I could always hang out in whatever group and no one would look at me funny or anything like that.
