Not been here in ages, so been catching up! I reckon the pic of the Orange GTR in Monaco is Mr Messiners. Bear with me as I explain. Its got the odd fins on the skirts. Also Monaco pic was taken in 2002, Tom's only entered Sweden in 2003. OK his is shown in other pics here with a roof air scoop, well thats removable. When it originally raced in the BPR it would sometimes appear with it. Finally when you compare the KS Autohandel showroom, Swedish track, Monaco pics and timelines it all adds up. |

Yeah thanks malkajb! Did you guys notice the red v12 etching on the steering wheel in the last shot? It isn't usually red, right?

I did spot that and the "F1/V12" logo in the center of the wheel is typically chrome. It could be a reflection as seen in this shot of #073:

Just checking the AutoSalonSingen site and figgured i'd look at the F1 again and try and ID it. Suddeny, i realized something.... can anyone else spot it?
http://www.autosalon-singen.de/Katal...&languageID=GB The likelyhood of this "option" being on more than 1 F1 is unlikely so i'm guessing the car above (Singen Car) is 064 Finally, one of the "Unknowns" can be put into the correct folder. Case closed IMO |

Nice job Chris!
Now figure out what the other F1 was that they had. It appears it was dark silver. The pictures also look much older. I wonder if it could have been #045 before it came to the USA. ![]() >8^) ER |

Thanks. If i hadn't been looking through old threads today for my list, i would never have noticed that.
Do you know any of 045's history before coming to the US? How do we know its not 012 and the car in Japan isn't a repainted car? OR if 012 was in Europe before going to Japan, assuming the car in Japan is 012 Its all so complicated....but thats what makes it fun Chris |

I don't know any of #045's history before it came to the USA. I only know that Gerd Petrik was the one who imported it (and #067) through Fritz's Ameritech. Petrik is German, so there could be a link to AutoSalon there.
The Best Motoring video showing the Tag Heuer car was from Dec 1994 as I recall. I don't think McLaren was big on refits at that point, so I suspect that the color seen in the video was original. I thought the Tag car could have left Japan by now, but the recent photo bucialli found looks identical to it, and it just makes the most sense that it would still be over there. Hopefully the bhop webmaster will be able to put that one to rest. >8^) ER |

The same F1/V12 logo on the center of the steering wheel is present in the AutoSalon photos.
