Re: Check this Mr2 out on ebay!

i saw a motorcycle with a jet turbine engine in arizona once. it looked like a rocket with a seat, handlebars, and tires, it was fuckin sweet. i guess he pulled up next to one of those saturns with the plastic fenders and it melted the fenders, wouldn't that suck. i bet it's loud as fuck.

You wouldn't be able to shift fast enough for that thing.

Have you ever even driven an automatic? Some autos can shift faster than you can.

Re: Check this Mr2 out on ebay!

Yeah and who knows, if it were a manual you would have a 50% of blowing the engine cause the rpm will go nuts.

Re: Check this Mr2 out on ebay!

Hahahahaha, I'd love to pull into my local California smog test facility with that thing.

Also... I highly doubt that thing even has gears. Probably just go and not go.

You must not know who Russ Coxe is. The turbines don't have a damn transmission, you just have to select one in ebay. Power doesn't go through the wheels.

some people just have way too much money/freetime...
I am pretty sure that ummm...jet engines are not street legal, not that a cop could actually pull you over if he tried...gotta take that thing out somwhere niiiiice and flat...I think it'd be cooler if he actually got it to fly lol.

Saw a 3g with a single turbine in it once...

Auto's can generally be faster than manuals. Manuals are usually quicker in acceleration in the 1/4 mile. But, no person can manually shift a car faster than an automoatic can shift itself. In high powered drag racing, you often see cars running automatics. Granted, they are no where near stock, but they are autos!

Re: Re: Check this Mr2 out on ebay!

This same guy has sold other cars like this, equiped with jet engines. I think it would be fun to own one. Then again...
