Re: 1987 Tii ?

Ok simple bolt on mods for a TII. As far as it goes, an intake and exhaust is really the only "simple" thing to do. But wit a high flow full exhaust you will need some form of FCD. If not you will pop the rear rotor.

BOV is pointless with a TII as they are designed to re-route the air back into the intake. If you run an open dump you will hurt preformance because it will run rich between shifts.

Preform all relibility mods and repairs before asking more of the engin, or become another person who simpley says the rotary is a bad car because there engines blow up.

Re: 1987 Tii ?

you can recirculate the BOV to send air back into the intake.

as a matter of fact the HKS kit for the TII does just that.

ehhh... i did not know that. a friend of mine has a similar setup on his merkur xr4ti.... his bypass valve recirculates the air back into the intake to keep the turbo spinning to help prevent lag... so the fact that the turbo 7 is like that too is kinda neat.

Re: 1987 Tii ?

The Z32TT has this too. It's called a recirculation valve. Just make sure you put the dump point before the mass air flow sensor or you'll run lean.

Thats a good point, there are some BOV's out there that preform bette than the stock and are adaptable to be recirculated.

If you run a open dump style i suggest you also go stand alone and get rid of the MAF sensor. Thats is what i have done.
