Re: Slow Boy Racing Nightmare (Very Long)

if they are such a big shop they cant be all that bad. shit does happen. of course i understand your outlook on this topic right now because it happened to you, but looking at it differently i can in a way see the managers reaction, short of the O2 anyway.

a personal experance:

locally there are two honda shops, sonic boom racing, and hybrid racing. i went to Sonic boom to have brakes changed to teg brakes on a 90 civic and hated the service. they did a decent job, but that was about all. i went to hybrid after this to have a turbo kit installed on my car, and they fucked it up, bad. acctually they blew the motor because they had the MBC set wide open and the blowoff valve not set to open right. at first they said it was all my fault and refused to pay anything, however after i talked to the guy for a while and told him, well, the truth of what happened they offered to pay half the costs of the new motor, and installed it for free. i still use them today when i have something i dont want to do on any car i have (although i dont let them do much on non-hondas... they are GREAT at K swaps, thats about all) just because of the customer service. i still get a 30% discount on everything just because i didn't sue them lol. acctually i dont think i could have won, and the motor only cost ME $350 (a B20).

This is how this scenario should have gone down.

Your car came in running fine, After installing parts it didn't run fine, the company who installed the parts fixes the problems they caused FOR FREE. It's business ethics. You screw people over, your name should be smeared all over the place. It's not "shop bashing" if they screw up your car like that and you post your experience. Also, people do make mistakes like forgetting to fix a broken stud but this is far beyond little mistakes. You are talking about six mistakes.
1. Not fixing the lug bolt
2. Not sealing the coolant lines
3. Not sealing the oil lines
4. Bending the O2 sensor
5. Using too big of a clamp
6. Not fixing any of the problems

This is supposed to be a professional shop that specializes in these cars. I would think something as mundane as a 16g turbo install would be simple for them, but this just shows a lack of caring in my opinion.
