Re: London blasts

What a horrible day. I'm glad to say i'm fine, as are my family and friends. The nearest blast was a mile from my workplace and about two miles from home. They did it at 9 in the morning, the sons of bitches. Rush hour.

It's business as usual on the stock market but boy what a shitty day. My head hurts. A lot. Here i am bothered with how much money i'm losing for my company and myself, when there are people who have lost their lives... I don't really know what to make of that. I haven't been outside yet or seen much footage so it hasn't really hit me yet. Looks quiet out there.

Re: London blasts

it happened in england because of the G8 summit, terrorists are going to or want to attack anywhere where they feel they can do it or would cause the most damage and fuck everything up

Re: London blasts

i was terrified when i woke up this morning and heard about this on the news. first, my girl just got back in the states yesterday after a 19 hour layover in London. she was tellin me how she was riding the subways and everything, she cut it way too close. Secondly, one of my friends that i have known since 2nd grade has a lot of family that live over there. Sadly, he hasn't heard from one of them yet, hope everything is alright. Too bad people don't learn that if you F with someone like London, you're gonna get F'ed a gazillion times harder.

Re: London blasts

Fuck, heard about this on Q101 on my way to work this morning. Sorry to hear about all the chaos that this has caused. CNN is reporting 37 killed.. 700 wounded. Fuck. I can just imagine the kind of backups this will cause for the tube in the next month or so. Best of luck on getting the city back up and running normal.

This is never going to stop. We can retalliate all we want. As long as the ideal remains, so will terrorism.

Now that England has had their own 9/11 they're really going to want to kick some ass now.

oddly enough, 100 times as many people died in 9/11.

But yeah, I get your point.

First off I am glad that Jay is okay.

Now as for this comment quoted above, if its true what they say that its an Al Quada operation, then I doubt its because of the G8 summit. History has shown that Al Quada plans these things way in advance (like years).
Regardless if the reason is becasue of the G8 summit, the question that stays in my mind is this. Being that the world leaders are in Scotland and London is already in a heighten state of awareness with security all over the place, how is it that this still happened. I thought after 9/11 both Britain and the US as well as a few more countries looked into their security measures and updating them and yet neither the CIA/FBI nor Scotland Yard got a whif of anything being planned or happening.
Go figure. So much for homeland security.

I hope that every one is ok on this very sad day.

Unfortunally not unless we start putting security every where like they have in airports then the chances of incidences like this happening is going to be very hard to stop.

Could you imagine scaning all passengers and their bags to get onto a train or a bus, it's just wouldn't be possible.

People like this are always going to be hard to stop.

How many of you have traveled on a train and seen someone leave a shopping bag behind or a parcel accidently it probably happens hundreds of times a day in every train station around the world, now how many of you would of thought to them selves "hang on that could be a bomb" maybe i should move.

lets all hope this never happens again.
