There.

Eh...that would require a complete rebuild of the US highway system. Not to mentition the drivers. And the cars.

And as someone who has been on the Autobahn...yeah...it's not that special. 95% of the drivers on it do maybe 100-120mph...it's not the super speedway free for all that it comes off as.

I travel rural roads alot here in TX, going to Austin is half rural down I-35

And I take US 80 out east all the time, (usually doing 80 ironicaly)

This kicks ass,

Re: TX,Iowa, and Indiana raise speed limit

Thats great. I know when I lived in Iowa yu could not get anywhere in under 5 hours with their 55 limit. As for the rural road thing, in Iowa and Indiana, there is not much but that.

Speed limits in Illinois are a complete joke. Has anyone driven through Chicago? On the Interstate, in some places to speed limit is down to 45 MPH!!!! It's never above 55. Everyone does 80+, but when the cop singles you out, you have a ticket for 80 in a 55.

Are you talking about the cars with trailers speed limit? Other than that, I don't think the speed limit anywhere is 45 for all motorists.

But yes, all interstate limits are 55. It's ridiculous. Try driving 55, even in the right lane, and you'll get tailgated and passed.
