What about noise regs? It would seem that an unrestricted longtail would have problems passing anything like that.

I totally missed out on Nick Masons mac!!!!:-(:-(

But I DID take good pics of the other 2 macs!

I have taken great pics, to say myself, of the orange GTR!

Pics will be ready on wednesday.

But will there be any chance to see Nick Masons red GTR another time? At another event?

I have seen *incredibly* loud cars registered...I think they only check the noise level at idle, and the tolerance is pretty high. Not sure on this, but there's tons of loud (read: deafening) cars hooning about the UK.

Plus, you can always register in the Isle of Man, which is virtually unregulated.

That's actually entirely possible, in fact it would actually make sense as the BMW Museum in Germany had a car that looked identical to the car that has been seen here in the USA multiple times leading me to believe there were two. Also, #18R has been basically "missing in action" for several years, so it would not surprise me if it were this car.

I hope that you are right and I was wrong.

At least you'll be able to see the originals, in all their glory, instead of 'lifted' versions.........

Well, a lucky shot could be one of the classic/sportscar nights, being mentioned in Classic- & Sportscar magazine. I cannot remember the exact name right now, I'll look it up. But it's the night that has become very popular for classic car owners. I think it's a monthly meeting, last item I remembered was that there was a Jaguar XJ-R9.
I'm guessing this, since Nick's F1 was standing at the magazines stand.

To know for sure is going to be hard. I think we've been lucky to get to see Mason's F1. I don't suspect it to be on a PR-tour or anything, however you could argue that Mason allows it to be out a bit more.

Now, go and look here at the events list on Classic Cars magazine's website
http://www.classiccarsmagazine.co.uk...siccars.events
The event is called Ace Cafe Classic Car night

they tell you to look at www.ace-cafe-london.com but I couldn't find any details.

Every second tuesday of the month, anyone can come around with their classic. A Classic Cars team is always present. And since it was their stand at Goodwood that showed off Mason's F1, I'm just speculating that it could show up there.
You could always give Classic Car mag a ring and ask whether it will show up.

Otherwise, keep your eyes open for details on September's Goodwood Revival. The F1 can hardly be considered as an oldtimer, but it might give act-de-presence.

To quote M-N-J in regards to the presence of Mason's GTR:

"However the community may like to see the shots of Nick Mason’s car which is also at Goodwood but being hired by a magazine to draw people to their stand... it was working very well!!"

Mason has a company called "Ten Tenths" which for a fee, provides his and other's cars for promotional use. More info can be found in this old post of mine.
