Got the clear coats on and this is before taking care of some problems and polishing it out.


The engine/frame got married and it needs a little touching up when it's all together.

It's so me to miss such a thing. I managed to drag some of the silver pigments out on the green and didn't notice until 5 layers of clear was on top of it....doooh Well, problem rectified and the lot polished and now it's BMF party time


More to come when I got something to show.

WOW! How could I ever miss this one?!!! Looking great Niclas, that paint looks pretty poisonous!
Maybe it´s because you take such close pics, but I could´nt help noticing that the engine looks a bit dusty, great job on the wiring though (it´s truly a PITA to wire an engine IMO)!

Keep up the good progress, I´m sure that little paint accident won´t be a problem for modeler of your caliber!

green, green, green, everthing is green. I LOVE IT. that is about the finest interior i have ever seen. the window cranks and handles look like they are metal. wow, this is one beautiful model, right down to the engine mounts. i cant wait to see it finished. keep up the awesome work.

Here's the latest update after a almost finished the BMF-party

Right side finished, I took the liberty to add some additional chrome trim around the fender flares and stretched the forward one to the grill.

This is the left side without the extra trim pieces

Made the seatbelt fabric from some sort of surgical tape and used etched buckles from MCG, great stuff!

Some VHS tapes and a childrens book in the back seat.

...and some junk in the back of the car, more to come when I've finished it

Yepp!
It's the box from this very model. Took a pic with the digicam and used Pagemaker to reduce the size and printed a whole A4 photo paper with different boxes, VHS, books and magazines. Just to cut them out, fold and glue where it's needed. Quite fun to those tiny little thing so put in the car. I thought that I could do the same with a Wunderbaum and get a really good looking tree to put in the mirror, just needs to buy me some new one's to photo for that project.

No problems, BMF = BareMetal Foil
A thin self adhesive aluminium foil to do all the bright work with. Just remember to use a very sharp blade, otherwise it will rip and wrinkle.
