the prob is that the people that say it sucked are people with no sense of humour and take everything litteraly.
Im a nappolean freak own the DVD seen the movie 13 times... and cant get enough So people who say it sucked.. let me guess no sense of humour and are one to follow the croud in which it says...

i saw the advance screening of this movie and i had no clue what it was about. when i first saw it is was like a stupid funny (if that makes sense). John Heder came to my school to talk about making the movie and stuff since it was a student made film. gave some interesting insights into things i would never have thought about.
i wouldn't mind being John or the producer or someone like that considering it was made with about 40,000 dollars and made much MUCH more at the box office. the thing i hate now is how it has a huge ass following. i'll agree with some of the people here. it is not the funniest movie i've seen, and in fact, it is a little retarded at points. but parts of it are funny, like when skip is all gangsta'd out. like ac427cpe pointed, the quotes are what is funny. now if only i could dance like that ::P:

you say its kinda retarded.. well the thing that is the whole point.. all movies now days are too serious and tell stupid puns and such... this movie you have to search for the funny parts in the movie.. and if you just see the cover and not look closer at the pages of corse it will appear stupid but you have to see the whole picture to understand it

i agree with most of you guys, there were definitely some funny bits, but overall it was very average.
also, people got really into it cuz it was an 'independent' movie so they thought they were all non mainstream.

Yes,the movie sucked.
I liked the fact it was not a typical formula-made predictable flick like 99% of Hollywood movies, but it was slow, pondorous and not funny. In fact it was one of the few movies I turned off half way through, because it was so bad......right up there with The Master of Disguise (Dana Carvey) and Smokey & The Bandit II

Honestly, I hated it. Although I didi laugh my ass off when he got nailed in the head with that steak. I do think it was a good movie, although I don't like it. It was what it was intended to be, a movie about a day in some retard's life. Some like that kind of comedy, I just happen to not be one of those people. For laughs, I prefer the Water Boy. "Moma'll brush ya hair"
