Heh, yeah. I just bought the SLP cold air intake from him. It was $10 cheaper than any other place I've looked.

do you think that the magnaflow catback is better than the flowmaster catback i was looking at earlier? (the american thunder series)

i wish i could hear a sound clip of a v6 with magnaflow catback and a sound clip of flowmasters. that would really help me out.

i've heard that flowmasters start to get high pitched when in the higher RPMs. is this true with magnaflows too?

In my opinion....Flowmasters should have been called DroneMasters.
That thunder series isn't as bad though.

Well I know magnaflow has a sound clip of a 3.8 with their cat back system on it, it's up on their site. www.magnaflow.com. As for the flowmasters.. well, I've heard sound clips and it does sound really high pitched at higher rpm's.. but you can probably eliminate most of that by getting some headers and a high flow cat.

Mr. Luos, why do you say that a V8 system on my V6 wouldn't sound as good and would get less power?

@blindxeyed: I can't find any sound clips on their site of a 3.8L car, could you point me to it?

i just heard a clip of a Flowmaster exhaust and one with a magnaflow. the flowmaster sounds deeper than the magnaflow. but at higher RPMs, the magnaflows are deeper pitched. hmm

what should i do? i want a exhaust that sounds deep all the time.

Well I myself went with Borla. But if you have your heart set out on Magnaflow or Flowmaster.. Then I'd go Magnaflow. If you get headers then it will sound even meaner. And if you live in a state where your not required to have a cat, then remove that and put a straight pipe right there. If not, then just get a high flow cat. Then it'll sound real nice.

@blindxeyed: Does Borla offer that kind of deep sound all the time on its own (w/o headers, etc) due to its higher quality?

And that clip on MagnaFlow's site is not a 3.8L car. I've known about those 2 clips, those are both of an SS Camaro.

I wish I could tell ya. I've never had my share or experience with Borla. This is the first exhaust system I've purchase. And the only reason why I got it is because it was on eBay and I won it for $555 as to the normal $800 it's retailed at. That and plus all I ever hear is good things about Borla. Whenever I get my headers in and get it all instealled, then I'll be sure to let you know how it sounds.
