Thanks for the info guys.. and to top it all off, talked to a friend who works in a garage, they have a 2.3 head with the same casting numbers that is new, supposed to go on a car 3 years ago, tore the motor apart, block was junk, so im getting the head in exchange for some computer work... talk about lucky. coils are good, car is running awesome right now with the stop leak in it, let it idle for almost an hour last night and had none of the symptoms that i had earlier in the week, no coolant loss, no skipping, no funky smells, and the new oil is nice and clean. the ac even still works without causing any problems, so hopefully the snake oil gets me to the end of the month.. i'll let everyone know after the job is done if it held up or not...
