I suspect the multifunction switch on the steering column....it can cause numerous issues with lights.

Other manufacturers have a problem with bad connections for the plugs on this switch. I would inspect the plugs carefully when looking at the switch.

To: 19JeepGCherokee96 . Pull out each bulb and check the sockets they can rust fall apart and short. you've tried the wires leading to sockets but I don't see you saying you pulled bulbs. Also if you have trailer hitch wiring (I dont know) check there also.LOL

Re: Can someone help me with this turn signal issue??
I took my Jeep to a Jeep Dealer for work.
They said my electrical wires are melted in 3 different places, and they need to remove the dash. Below is the description they put on my work ticket: "...traced short to ground; has melted wiring coming out of power dist. center;..." Has anyone else had this type of issue? They wanted to charge upwards of $500 to fix it, and sadly, I just don't have that kind of cash to spare at this time. Suggests, tips, ideas, Hail Mary's appreciated. Thanks! |

Re: Can someone help me with this turn signal issue??
Any help is appreciated, I have a 1999 JP Laredo and can't find location of Turn signal flasher. I've purchased a black square 9 pin relay/switch and neither auto parts store from Auto Zone, O'Rielly's, Advance Auto, nor NAPA could tell me where it's located.
There are no modules under steering wheel, only fuses. And under the hood has relays but not for the turn signal and they are half the size smaller than the flasher that I bought. |
