Re: The best ProTouring car club EVER!!

hobby lobby has also began carrying resin kits. i dont remember the manufacturer. I am going by there today to pick up some aluminum tubing and brass rod, i'll try and remember to look.

Hey will, i would DEFINATELY be interested in those wheels.

I usually try to refrain from tooting my own horn and I hate to do it in the forum but it is obvious no one here has heard of my company. If there is a problem with my posting this please let me know...
I own and operate Machined Aluminum Specialties and I have been making and selling aluminum rims with the adjustable backspacing idea since 1993...
I am the originator of the turned aluminum rim/photoetched center construction and have a VERY extensive line of turned rims. Using my parts you can build a rim to fit just about any tire width, diameter or backspacing you need.
Look here...

and if there are any questions please ask...

i like your sleeves, im just not big on the photoetch center idea. it seems as though it wouldn't have enough depth...i could be wrong. maybe a pic or two of them in use?

Look through the site. There are pics of assembled rims/tires sprinkled around in it... As far as the P.E. parts being to thin... Maybe, but they are actually a lot closer to scale then some of the resin cast or kit parts... Most of them look very good.

Re: The best ProTouring car club EVER!!

your stuff is nice, but i think is way to expensive. maby you could make some with a price closer to $10, not $45

What is your definition of "a good amount"?
If you look at the quality and quantity in each rim kit I think you will see the price is fair... The average price for most of my kits is under $30.00 and all of the sleeves can be purchased separately for about $10 or $15 dollars...
Let me know what you need. I can make it.

Re: The best ProTouring car club EVER!!

i just think that $45 is very expensive considering that it is more than double the price of most 1/24th kits. right now i dont have anything on my table that needs wheels like your but when i do ill let you know.
