Sorry, but I did not become wealthy by giving my money away.

You can have this though:

Question Slightly off topic

So, you live in CA... Where do you put your front license plate now that they're actually enforcing that law?

Also, is your Alpine Ed. marked as such somehow?

Once again a lovely view of that car. I'd like to see the engine and Interior if possible. As for colour, I was speaking of Snowcorn Blue which I think looks the best. I have seen a Monterey Blue 99' Diablo SV which also looks very good. It is difficult to say which looks best becuase Lamborghini obvious makes sure that only the best colours are on their cars. If you are looking for my opinion on which shade of blue is best my vote goes to Snowcorn Blue.

* BTW, I am looking at an add right now for Platnuium Motors of Las Vegas or Beverly Hills and they currently have 2 Blue diablos with different Blues than what you said.

1. 2001 Diablo VT 6.0

Blue Hera/ Snowcorn (It's a Dark Navy Bluewith a Black Interior)

2. 2001 Diablo VT 6.0

Blue Ely/ Snowcorn (This is the light Blue that I like and Lamborghini says it's a new colour.)

I don't know wether or not these colours overlap yours but they are Navy and Light Blue. Also, Is Snowcorn a Black colour?

I would rather pay the ticket, rather than put a plate on the front, and I have attatched a pic of the Alpine Edition Badge that is behind the drivers side window. Sorry about the pic it is a scan. I let my buddy borrow my digital.

Nice. That's High Class/Performance in a sticker. If you don't mind my asking, what did you pay for it?

My car was originally manufactured for the MOMO racing family, but upon delivery they decided not to keep it. To make a long story short, Platinum Motors in Santa Ana California, gave me a good deal. If you want a figure, the Alpine Edition, when I bought it, cost a little less than 30K more than a stock Diablo VT.

There are a few differences. First, the Alpine Edition Lamborghini has of course an Alpine Multimedia system in it, which includes a 6 disc CD changer (located behind the passenger side seat), DVD, navigation, AM/FM strereo, amplifier (located in the front trunk of the car), one ten inch subwoofer (located behind the drivers seat), upgraded tweeters, and one additional aux input for whatever. Cosmetically, the biggest difference in the Alpine edition is the addition of carbon fiber in various places on the car. For example, the gill slits on the side of the car are carbon fiber, the interior is trimmed with carbon fiber, the shift nob, the eyelids on the xenon headlights are made of carbon fiber, the engine casing is carbon fiber, etc. you get the point.
The last few differences are the addition of the Diablo SV racing rear spoiler (which is also adorned with carbon fiber) also the rims are accented with gold plated screws, and most importantly, which is what made the decision for me, are the Alpine floormats. J/K
The engine is untouched. Although, on the #5 car that I own has had an exhaust upgrade done by Tubi.

Now pardon me if I sound nieve, but why get two of the same car?

I understand you must love your Diablo (duh!), but as you said, yours is already a step ahead of the 6.0, right? If you've got the money to get both, why not buy a supercar of a different marque? Then you'd wake up and say, "Should I drive the Lambo or the Ferrari to work today?" Or the DeTomaso? Etc... (Wow, it's hard to compare something to a Diablo! I think I might be missing the point with the DeTomaso.)

Or perhaps you should go out of your way to find something else, something unexpected. You could make every AF member even more shocked/amazed/jealous if you call up MotoRex and order a Nismo 400R. They look nice in red or yellow. Or black or grey. Or sneak a TVR into the country; they're pretty nice, too!

Just my random (and poorly organized) thoughts on the matter.

The Lamborghini has always been my dream car. I have always wanted one since I was a kid. I am just thankfull that I have had the good fortune and luck (not to mention a LOT of hard work) to afford one. My intention was not to shock/amaze/ nor make anyone jealous. I simply wanted some input from a few people who are knowledgable with high end automobiles; therefore, my friend suggested this forum. I am sorry if I offended you (because it sort of sounds like you are). I do appreciate your opinion, but I just want to ask, what kind of Ferrari are you talking about Modena, Modena Spyder or F-50?

No, man, I'm not mad. I was just thinking if it were my choice, I'd want like one of everything.

I'm totally impressed that you've even got the opportunity to have a choice like that. Makes me realize how bad I need to get my shit together.

Oh, I've got no idea. Whatever you like, it is for you. (You could go out and get it for yourself for your birthday. ) It just seems to me it would be really cool to have two awesome cars that are totally different. And, in your price range, you could totally make it happen. That's why I came up with the TVR and the Skyline.

Do you get what I mean? :smoka:
