As I have told to anyone, Pro Touring Rules!
Very nice projects indeed. And great colors and rims as usual.

It's been cleared but needs polishing out as I put some fairly heavy coats of clear on it & there's some orange peel.
Cheers

Re: AJ-Modelworks goes Pro Touring

These are totaly Pro Touring style! Modern drive train + modern interior bits + large rollers and modern mettalic pain and big modern engines = Pro Tourer!

These are great!!! Please keep us posted and please let us know how you plan on lowering the Chevelle and Mustang suspension? They both ride pretty darn high and I had a huge problem with the Chevelle... mostly because of the over-simplified one piece front suspension.

Re: AJ-Modelworks goes Pro Touring

I wouldn't say he has it nailed. The modern suspension and modern engine is a start but people go overkill on the wheels. Pro-touring = 17 maybe 18 in wheels. Most models (due to lack of choice since there is no middle ground) have 20+in wheels. No one here has nailed "pro-touring." The models look awesome however and yes the engine is a LT5 which is specific enough as it was only offered in the 90-95 ZR1's and it is a TPI based motor.

William

**Edit** 375hp isn't necessarily wrong, the LT5 didn't get 405 hp till the later models of the ZR1. It started with 375.

Re: AJ-Modelworks goes Pro Touring

I never said build them the way i want...Build for yourself or you'll stop having fun. I'm just saying pro-touring hasn't been nailed and probably wont till the HUGE wheel trend is over.

Change of plan on the Mustang engine - I've decided to use the Ford Motorsport SVO from the Revell Speedwagon kit - the Ford emblems and lettering were acheived by covering them with Bare Metal Foil and then painting satin black & matt blue enamels over the top. When the paint had dried it was removed from the raised areas with a matchstick.

Thanks for looking
Andy
