Getting licenses isn't that hard--Getting all golds, now THAT'S friggin' undoable. I got it for B, and most of A, then I just gave up; it was taking WAY too long. It's a good thing that the 'all-golds' prize cars can be obtained elsewhere in the game.

Its friggen impossible!!!!
The GT40 was crap in GT2 and now its even worse in GT3!!!!!

to the person who designed that test, :flamer: :flamer:

Is this the one with the GT40 on Seattle 2? If it is, trust me, that one is as hard as it gets. Just save your time by finishing the others (3 and on) and come back to it for later. By then, you will have become accustomed to the long tests and won't be so overwhelmed when it comes to the Seattle 2 course--or are you already done with the others?

thats what i did, i tried like 10 times or so then gave up, did the others then on my second try i got it. to me, that was easy compared to S-8 with the GT-ONE on coe de azur, it took me at least 2 hours of almost solid practice to beat it, man what a pain, i dont care though as long as i dont need to do it again, just dont give up, youll get it.

Oh, I've already got all my licenses. But I had a way harder time with the GT40, than the GT-One. GT3's graphics are so sharp that the sun glare always gets me in the Seattle 2 course, and the backwards factor makes it way harder; it's hard to pick out exactly when to start braking for the turn since you're going pretty fast to a dead stop (and hitting the wall is not allowed). But now I've got the hang of it--just gotta memorize the damn course.

Well I can get to with in about .3 to .6 of a second of the bronze time, but its just incredibly frustrating as pushing just that little bit harder, or trying to find the corner where I can go that 1/2 a second faster. I need to win the car in a race, then take it for lots of random laps of the course and get some practice, with out having to worry about hitting the wall and racing the clock etc.
The rest of the race are not as hard, and im working my way through them. (but time and GTA3 are both distracting me. )

Is this a new techinical term for the rumble strips? It was like that for me too on cote de azur, i kept getting so close. there were a couple times when i was within less then a 0.1 of a second of passing. i was pissed but i got it the next time, thank god. if i didnt, iprobaly still wouldnt have my s lisence.

I love it! and the physics model is extremly impressive! I would have to say the cars although all endowed with quirky handleing are governed by a better set of physics laws then the cars in GT3. The differnce is of course the loosely arcade style handleing vs GT3's more realistic aproach.

to pass seattle with the GT40 u gotta really throw the car around. You have to use the barriers to keep the car in line aswell (Remember you can lightly brush the barriers, but not go head on into them). I gave up on the S liscence originally, and concentrated on completing the bits of the game i was allowed to do. This gave me the skills and experience, that when i came back to the S liscnece i passed everyone first time. If you have trouble, just do some races and gain the experience, and you will find the tests well easy wen u try them again.
