Re: rsx tails on a hatch!
im annoyed with this waiting myself. but when people owe me favors, and im not really good at bodywork and they are, i would much rather cash in on the favors than pay a lot of money for it.
i did all the fabricating for the conversions, but i am relying on my friend for the fiberglass and bodywork. reliable cheap fast pick two. im picking the reliable and cheap, so its not gonna happen fast. i just got off the phone with my friend, and hes gonna have the majority of the taillight conversion done by sunday. hopefully this means we can paint the car within the next month, since the only thing unfinished was the body around the tails.

However, I think that saying pretains more to the way your car is, not the length of the build process.

Re: rsx tails on a hatch!
i guess, in terms of its "go", but i think it can be said when talking about its "show" as well. not that my car has a huge bling factor, but i want the body mods to be done perfectly, so its gonna take a long time unless i want to pay someone a huge amount of money.

Re: rsx tails on a hatch!
Yeah. Just keep in mind taking your time is not always the way to go with it. The more that you mess with one thing the more the flaws are going to stick out. to YOU, probibly not anyone else but it will bug the shit out of you.

Re: rsx tails on a hatch!
i was thinking those new RSX tails would look really good. they dont have the teardrop on them, so it should be about the same as a prelude tail conversion. which isnt that easy anyway.

Re: rsx tails on a hatch!
Well the main thing about a converson. is that you want it to look like nothing you have ever seen, but still keep that leek, or aggresive apperice. eather way anytime you do a doit your self'er you are going to have to be pashent. and take your time. and it will NEVER be an easy job.. unless you by a converson kit. and still thin you better know what your doing. or at lease have some confidence in yourself. 90% of anything is just having confidence.. but knowing what the hell your doing..

frodian slip there, talking about taillight conversions and saying they need to leak...... hahahaha. i always approach things with confidence, and the attitude that if i do happen to mess it up, at least its on my project car and i can let it sit there until i figure out what i did wrong. i guess thats why my car has sat for 2 years while we piddle with the bodywork. at least while i ponder what to do next on a taillight conversion that, although it has been done before, nobody has documented, i always had other things to do on it. i took that time and built one of the most impressive suspension setups ive heard of on an EF, as well as an underbody so clean that you can lick it. furthermore, ive managed to install a b16 in it with wiring so clean that it looks better than a stock SiR. but it all takes time, and an annoying attention to detail. you wouldnt believe how many people tell me "enough already, just drive the damn thing!!" but i wont rest until i know that the car couldnt have been done any better or more thorough.
