And House of Leaves is a fantastic book. It's a book about a book about a book about a home video. The video is of a professor somethingorother who, while investigating his new home, finds that it is larger on the inside than it is on the outside. Not only by a quarter inch, but they find a doorway that should lead to the backyard, but it turns out leads to a hallway which leads to an area larger than an entire city and leads down farther than the height of the Petronas towers. Lots of labyrinth mythology and loads of symbols and footnotes and edits make it one of the most intense reads ever. I can't even describe in words what the book is like, you just have to pick it up. Oh, and its about 900 pages or so, packed from the top to the bottom with text. Enjoy spending a good 2 months reading it.

Re: The Dionaea House
^No, it's 750+ pages. I just bought online along with it's "sequel"...kinda. But this was a very good read online. Kept me entertained with my insominia and I got to scare Kate!
sorry kate! This would have been a lot better if we foud it last year when it started. That why we didn't just read through it, but I loved it!

Ted the caver was fun to read, but not nearly as well done as the house story (When I first started reading the Dionaea House, I was under the impression that the e-mails were real)... Even from the very start, the caver story "journal" was just not believable, but if you can suspend disbelief, then it's not a bad read although lengthy/verbose at times.
