My B.S. alarm went off when I read your stories.

But who knows, maybe dealerships are different in the East?

The sales people go with you?!

When I was 16 I went to a Honda dealership and i test drove a new Prelude 5 spd like 3 monthes after i got my licence and the guy didn't come with me and my friend.
After that we drove an Accord coupe V6, the guy kept askin us if we wanted to try other cars

At Mercedes they would come with me..... but they don't go with people over 20

I'm surprised the mullet man got off his fat ass and came with you guys

The only time I've ever test-driven a vehicle w/o a salesman was the "final" test drive after my family had filled out some of the paperwork for our van. The guy let us take it out alone before finishing up the rest of the papers, and he didn't come along.

Every test drive around here requires someone to ride along to the best of my knowledge.

At our local ford dealership, he lets the Lawton family (who always uy from him, so that probably helps), he lets them keep them overnight
But then they pay him full price, so he knows what hes doing.

Once I got to test-drive a base Saturn SL alone... I guess they figured I couldn't do anything with that optionless, gutless POS.

They were right.

just act civilized and intent on buying very soon and you can drive anything you want. when we go out for round two i think its luxury car time. i am in the process of making a fake charles schwabb account statement that says i have a couple hundred grand in the bank for back up's. tangie will also be my lovely wife once again only this time its on paper as the sole beneficiary of my millions to make things ever so more realistic. best thing you can do to fake them out and for sure get a test drive is know what other companies have cars in the same class and tell them you have driven them allready and this is your final one before you make a decision. so find yourself a cool girl like tangie and set out on a new car abuse spree and post'em up. maybe if your like me you will find a new appreciation for your car you have right now, i know after i drove the wrx i deffinatly like my car again. dont get me wrong the wrx is a nice car and very fast, but its just not practical for an everyday car, and someone with wide feet would have a hell of a time in it.
is it safe to say ric is conceded?? lol

you gotta have ur family go to a dealer for a LONG time and then they will respect you. My dad, his dad , his dad went to the Toyota dealership and my dad grew up around the local Toyota dealer. So today my dad will go there ask to drive somethign to see how it is they throw him the keys and he takes it. I'm not even 16 ( only 197 days left) and they let me a take an Mr2 spyder down the street and back!!!

But me and my dad do that somtimes too... we went to the mercedes dealership last week and wanted to drive an SLK. My dad acted very interested and they gave us the keys and told us not to tell his boss. Then we went to the Nissan dealer and drove the 350Z..awesome car..we could only go so far before the dealer called the cell phone inside the car and told us to bring it back...
