Re: 14b installed, but doest feel that strong.
how is the spool up compaired to a t25? once you got it set right does it lag noticablely more than the t25? how would a 16g compair?

I have an old school all metal BFH affectionately named "The Punisher." It's older than me, but it never fails to get the job done.

With the 14b, you can hardly tell the difference in spool time between the T25 but it does spool maby a tad bit slower. I dont know about the 16g, but if its ported and stuff I dont think it would be that different. Quote:

I have a 93 turbo talon automatic that I just converted to a 14b and I have the same problem. I espected some lag with the bigger turbo but it is ridiculous. Im definately going to check it out.

Re: 14b installed, but doest feel that strong.
Try the washer thing between the actuator and turbin housing to see if its preload. I had to put 3 washers there.

I put three washers like you all said and it worked. The thing pulls like crazy now. I really appreciate the tip I thought my car was going to stay slow and sluggish but now it has some get up. Thanks

Re: 14b installed, but doest feel that strong.
The number 3 was an estimate. Its possible to over shim the actuator too, increasing the risk of boost creep. My point is that you should use the method I outlined above to set it to the optimum preload.
