Re: Gmail Invites

I've been watching for the release of this since they announced they were developing it last Spring. I check Google every so often to see if there are any announcements pertaining to it. It's funny this thread appeared here today as I just checked yesterday to see if there was anymore info on it, and Google said it was to be released to the general public "soon" as it was still in beta testing. I noticed there will probably be an "email provider" war in the next few months. My Yahoo account has been advertising 2GB of storage free coming in May. When I first signed up it was 100MB then it went to 1 GB. I'm sure other email providers will meet those marks and start offering other "advantages" to their accounts. Some of these new items will probably be free versions of what they charge for now just to keep up with the competition.
