how about we all buy a ticket to potentially win a prize? something like a nice model car or something I dunno. That way the winner gets something nice and AF get ssome revenue for server issues. I'm sure everyone has noticed the slowdown lately.

Anyway back to the idea. I doubt it could be illegal the way I described I mean the local fire departments and all kinds of old lady rotary clubs or whatever they are called are constanly selling raffle tickets ( I won a smoked ham once) so why couldn't we start a raffle and give away a nice prize. seems like Af wins and the winner will know what he is buying a raffle ticket for so if they win they will be happy. If we got a couple hundred or even thousand (if we are lucky) to buy say a 2 dollar raffle ticket I think it would be cool and helpful.

ok i just thought of this. maybe even if it is illegal for AF to do it why couldn't a member hold it in AF's place and then donate the earnings to AF? going back to the firemen or whatever, if they can do it why couldn't I start up a raffle and then give the money to AF? I mean if it is clearly described that you a buying a raffle ticket that may or may not win then its your own fault for buying one if you lose right?

Re: The AF lottery

yea i was thinkin if a portion was donated to charity and a portion to AF, The charity would take care of the legality issues, and Donation to AF would give them the incentive to set it up. But it is a far fetched idea
