i meant that you can have the entire illuminations system off, and still have taillamps.

they dont affect the left tail unless you overload the circuit and blow the fuse for the left tail.

Didnt say that you wouldnt have parking lamps. Just said that it affects them. Mine worked just fine, cant remember left or right, but one side was on w/out the switch being turned on as well as the interior ill. Good chance of your Rheostat becoming useless if you dont run the wires correctly too. But hey, you may now more about the cars wiring than I do, cuz I am good with wiring, just new to the tibs set up. Just tellin you from my experience after cuttin the stock harness.
