Re: Problem.

yeah that sounds right..

but that might be the problem... (dont worry not a big problem).. the atlas 15 is an awesome sub but its pretty much a single coil 4 ohm sub. (essentiaslly)

so you might not be able to get that sub..

but there are plenty of great subs out there

Re: Problem.

Trust me when I say go with an atlas. You need efficiency and that's what an atlas can offer.

Re: Problem.

ok. but when you say double the output, do you mean that it can handle double the RMS watts or double as in louder than other subs with the same watts?

Re: Problem.

alright then. so i guess my set up will be 2 6x9s, 2 door speakers powered by a profile HA1040 amp with a atlas 15 in the truck. sound good?

i might need more door speakers though. cause the ones i have now are still stock. they might blow. anyone know how big the door speakers are?

Re: Problem.

I say double the output b/c a 15 has almost twice the cone area of a 12, so with the same power it will move twice as much air.

Re: Problem.

i listen to alot of rock and metal music. will this sound good? i sometimes listen to rap. will the sub hit hard?

what im trying to say is that will all kinds of music sound good with my setup? cause i dont want to listen to rock music then listen to some rap and the sub not hit hard or vise versa.

Re: Problem.

i was messin around with my these old 10" subs and i hooked them up to my cd player in my room and the subs played out all ranges of notes. i thought subs just play out the bass notes. or do i need a amp so it can do that?
