W/15 psi he's running 10's...what size turbo is that? Is that on the stock bottom end? What's his trap speed? His 60 ft? Full interior?
240SX's can run 10's as well...fastest KA turbo ran 10.8 at 134 or so... |

Here in the States, it is somewhat rarer to hear or even see a turbocharged car than in other parts of the world. Even if the Prelude was modified (naturally aspirated), and the 240SX + SR20DET was stock, I'd take the Nissan. There's more to it than just power and speed; the Silvia lineage has so much color in its relatively short history behind it throughout the globe that I'd kick myself in the ass if I took a Prelude over this cult classic.

By the way, MotoRex selling their R32 GT-Rs for around $30-35,000 is a really nice deal for the genuine enthusiast. As regular marketeers know, that rung of the industry is highly competetive. It all depends on what you want with your 30 grand. (ironically, you can get the new Infiniti "Skyline GT" for the same amount of money). |

LOL I would take a r32 GTR before that Infiniti piece of garbage any day. I think the R32 is a classic and one nice looking car. So is the R33, better looking then the R34, it may not have all th new technology but the R32's and R33's are very respectable cars.

I like all of the skylines. I probably like the styling of the R34 the best, but I think if I had to drive 1 skyline for the rest of my life, then it would be a nice shiny black R33 GTR, kinda like this one.........

Yeah, although the R34 is seemingly the "new and improved" Skyline, the R33 really made a statement about the GT-Rs. It was during these years that popularity skyrocketed, and this was reflected in the numerous races in which the Skyline participated under this marque, and incessant parts-support clientelle.
The R34 is quite a remarkable beast, taming all the raw spirit in the RB26 of the R32, while toning down all the heft of the R33, but it never really got a shot at stardom, other than the fact that it took the spotlight at being the final genuine GT-R. If Nissan had been wiser at conducting business, then perhaps there would have been some funding left over for the automaker to introduce another radically concocted, japanese designed, japanese built R34 successor. Pehaps this next vehicle would have been standard setting in order to intimidate even Toyota's upcoming exotic grand tourer. But with Renault at the helm, we can expect conservation, subtlety, and efficiency. Long live the GT-R. |
