personally i dont care for mp3 decks as of yet.........ive only had experience with one, and it was my friends kenwood, which was brand new....they seem too slow, to find, and process/play the song...im gonna hold out on them until they become a bit less clumsy...unless they made them already

Fair enough. At first I thought you were being a prick, but I see what you mean. The MP3 players are pretty tight, but (and I know some of you won't understand) I still like some of my tapes. Most of them I don't have the CD for and the CD for most of them was never made! I would really like an alternative to the CD changer, like a CD + Cassette player, but I've never seen one. So the only way I see to keep cassette playability is to get a CD changer. Pain in the butt and everything. Alternatives are welcome!!

but I still don't see how its gonna fit under the seat...

Most are slow, but the ones they got now let you browse songs by folder, instead of song-by-song. So you want song 165, you go to folder5, subfolder6, song8. 19 clicks instead of 165. much better. Also they have random play, so you can just set it to whatever.

Anyone on the Aiwa player I mentioned? I'm getting it VERY soon, so if its on sale for a good reason y'know, then let me know!!! It seems very good. Speakers too.

lol You must have gotten a deal on that CD changer, else you are loaded!! Well, I decided against the changer, due to my enthusiasm for this MP3 player which I somehow never knew existed. Its too sweet a deal to pass up. It blends car with PC, the two most important items in my life!!! So I'm sold on it. If no one had mentioned it, I'd prolly have a changer by now. But now I'm getting that MP3 player, tight as phuck!! (see above two posts)
Hehe ok here's the deal with that CD player. No i'm not loaded. No i didn't get a deal. I got this thing before i was into cars, about 4 years ago. Basically since I had the stock head unit, which is Alpine, I got this thing for like $400 or something because it didn't have to use a FM signal to adapt it to the head unit, which loses bass and clarity and stuff (the FM signal does). In retrospect, that was $400 or so that was poorly spent.

Were I you, I'd dfinately go with the MP3 player =)

I'd go with the MP3 player...but if you want a combo cd / tape player instead of a cd changer check this one out.

Talking

ok guys, any last comments? I'm gonna get my dad's credit card and buy them in just a few hours when he gets home! I'm getting the AIWA CDC-MP3 head unit, and two Sony XS-W1620 front speakers, all for $260 shipped. Its a deal, with what I consider quality stuff. If there is anything more you all would like to add please do so! If not, the next post by me will most likely be a review!!!

I'll be checking in soon!!
