USE THE CAP FROM THE DEL SOL VTEC!!! IT WILL LOOK DIFFERENT!
ITS MENT TO LOOK DIFFERNT!
THE OLD STYLE ONES ARE PRONE TO CRACKING WHICH IS WHAT YOUR PROBLEM IS!

I used a 90-91 integra cap and rotor on my b16a. Rotor looks different than the original one but the cap pretty much looks the same. I have had the cap on for awhile with no problems.

no the bolt holes in the del sol vtec one didn't fit in mine that's why i didn't use it.

Bolt holes wouldn't match or the locating finger didn't match? The latter was a problem I had until I made a gap in the cap with a soldering iron - bodgy bros at work

its very odd that Bracer and I had no trouble with the later cap and Rotor, but you guys couldnt get it to fit.

Either your both doing something wrong, or you have very early engines, or very odd engines.
I wonder if the cap and rotor from a B20a from the lude would work????

no this new cap is firing fine..... so obviously that isn't the prob of cyl 1 firing.... i'm takin it out and havin a compression test done tonite..i wish it was somthing simple like a cap n rotor, but it looks like it may be a bit more serious. fuck.
