The muffler bearing is a dealer only item. It take very special tools to grease this and very few shops will invest in such a tool.

It is best to go to the dealer and ask them to take care of this before it is to late and cost you very much money if it happens to go out. And the heat involved within the muffler is murder on the grease in this muffler bearing. I hear that they may well go to a sealed bearing in a few years and one will no longer have to worry about this.

One needs to remember to regularly change the air in the tires as well, bet lots of people forget this too, and it is very important.

So if it has a clutch-pack, does it also have a dipstick-pack?

I'm a aftermarket supplier of the muffler bearing, and the tools to grease it.
If you require one look on my web page

And don't forget to rotate the tire valves when you change the tires air

Several years ago, a friend of mine, true story, was in a Chevy shop in Little Rock, Ark., he had a problem with his car and was speaking to the service manager.

And!

A elderly woman came up and said, excuse me, are you the service manger.

The service manger said, "I am, could I help you?"

Yes sir, I live in Oklahoma City and just bought this car new and I am on a trip, but was told to stop and get the air changed in my tires as 2,300 miles, I now have 2,287 and I fear to go any further.

My friend said the service manger never cracked a smile and said, "Yes, we will get right to it, where is your car?"

Said they pulled the car in and acted like they changed the air and the woman left extremely happy getting back on her journey.

The service manger told my friend you would not believe the nut cases we get in here where someone is pulling a practical joke on these elderly people, we just go along with them when possible.

A blonde was driving home after a game and got caught in a really bad hailstorm. Her car was covered with dents, so the next day she took it to a repair shop. The shop owner saw that she was a blonde, so he decided to have some fun. He told her just to go home and blow into the tail pipe really hard, and all the dents would pop out.

So, the blonde went home, got down on her hands and knees and started blowing into her tailpipe.

Nothing happened. So she blew a little harder, and still nothing
happen.

Her roommate, another blonde, came home and said, "What are you doing?

The first blonde told her how the repairman had instructed her to blow into the tail pipe in order to get all the dents to pop out. The roommate rolled her eyes and said, "Uh, like hello! You need to roll up the windows first."

A bit off topic, but maybe I will be forgiven.

Re: dipstick location

someone just stole a tig welder from a shop around here, that reall sucks though that your shit got stolen! you dont steal the air tools because they dont have as high of a value, they would go through all the work of taking, loading and distributing for little profit

Re: dipstick location

Maybe the dipstick doesn't want to be found?

Seriously ... I don't think we know which dipstick they are looking for.
